Construction precautions for lime shaft kiln

The construction of lime kiln involves multiple interdisciplinary fields such as civil engineering, fire resistance, and mechanical and electrical engineering. The process is highly targeted, and the construction quality directly determines the thermal efficiency, operating life, and production safety of the kiln. The entire construction process needs to focus on controlling the following key points.

In the early stage of civil engineering, it is necessary to strictly verify the bearing capacity of the foundation, and carry out pile foundation or replacement treatment according to the geological report to avoid kiln settlement caused by collapsible loess and weak strata. Reserve anchor bolts, feeding channels, and temperature and pressure measuring sleeves for the kiln foundation, with positioning errors controlled within 3mm to prevent subsequent equipment assembly deviations.

The main masonry is the core process, and refractory bricks need to be placed in batches of dry and wet grades. It is strictly prohibited to use damp bricks on the wall. During masonry, staggered joints are used, with the thickness of the mortar joints controlled at 2-3mm. The fullness of the refractory mortar is ≥ 95%, and full joints and blind joints are strictly prohibited. The verticality of the kiln body should be ensured, with a deviation of no more than 1.5mm per meter. The cumulative deviation of the entire height should be strictly controlled within 10mm to avoid uneven stress and cracking of the kiln body.

Construction precautions for lime shaft kiln

During the equipment installation and debugging phase, the coaxiality calibration of the fabric, ash unloading, and air supply systems is required, and the sealing components must be intact and undamaged to prevent air and material leakage and reduce calcination efficiency. The oven must follow a gradient heating curve, remove moisture from the masonry at a constant speed, and strictly prohibit rapid heating and cooling that may cause the refractory layer to peel off.

The construction site needs to implement fire prevention, dust prevention, and high temperature protection measures, embed emergency passages and fire-fighting facilities, and retain hidden engineering and masonry inspection data throughout the process to ensure the long-term stable and compliant operation of the kiln.
